On master CDU, press alpha pushbutton corresponding to alpha designator for the blank waypoint. Verify that the alpha designator appears on master CDU display, between entry line markers, to the right of waypoint number.
(f)
Press ENT pushbutton on master CDU. Verify that display slews down to place LAT prompt/display line between entry line markers.
(g)
Press 2N or 8S pushbutton on master CDU to start latitude entry. Verify that N or S character replaces <> symbol in LAT prompt/display line.
(h)
Press master CDU pushbuttons corresponding to latitude, including any leading or trailing zeros.
(i)
If latitude displayed is correct, press ENT pushbutton on master CDU, LAT line flashes and display slews up to place LON prompt/display line between entry line markers.
(j)
Press W4 or 6E pushbutton on master CDU, to start longitude entry; W or E character replaces <> symbol in LON prompt/display line.
(k)
Press master CDU pushbuttons corresponding to longitude, including any leading or trailing zeros.
(l)
If longitude displayed is correct, press ENT pushbutton on master CDU.
(m)
On airplanes with LTN-92 INS, verify that latitude, longitude, and corresponding waypoint appear with the option to use or reject. Press EXP.
(n)
Verify that LON line flashes and display slews up to place next available blank waypoint between entry line markers.
(o)
Repeat steps (e) thru (n) to enter remaining waypoints into master CDU.
(8) Procedure for transferring waypoints from "master" CDU to either or both "slave" CDUs.
(a)
Press A.N pushbutton on all CDUs. Verify that the letter N appears in upper right-hand corner of the display on all CDUs.
(b)
Press RMT pushbutton on all CDUs. Verify that REMOTE (or REMOTE SEL) page is displayed on all CDUs.
(c)
On master CDU (CDU into which waypoints have been entered), slew XFILL MASTER between entry line markers.
(d)
On airplanes with LTN-92 INS, press ENT pushbutton on master CDU. Verify that XFILL MASTER page is displayed. Slew 98 WAYPOINTS between entry line markers.
(e)
Press ENT pushbutton on master CDU. Verify that SYSTEM A ? and SYSTEM B ? are displayed on master CDU.
(f)
On each slave CDU, slew XFILL SLAVE between entry line markers.
(g)
Press ENT pushbutton on each slave CDU. Verify that SYSTEM A READY (or ONLINE) and SYSTEM B READY (or ONLINE) are displayed on master CDU.
(h)
Press ENT pushbutton on master CDU. Verify that waypoints are automatically transferred in sequence to the slave systems.

(i)
On airplanes with LTN-92 INS, after test waypoints have been transferred from master CDU to slave CDUs, press CLR on master CDU . Verify that for a period of 4 seconds, XFILL ABORTED is displayed on master CDU. When 4 seconds have elapsed, verify that REMOTE RANGE is displayed on master CDU, and slave CDUs display XFILL TIMEOUT.
(j)
On airplanes with LTN-72RL INS, verify that message CROSSFILL COMPLT appears on master and slave CDUs. (This message indicates that waypoint transfer is complete.) Verify that the slave CDUs also display message ENT TO ACCEPT.
(k)
Press ENT pushbutton on each slave CDU. Verify that REMOTE RANGE is displayed between entry line markers on each slave CDU.
(l)
Press WPT pushbutton on each slave CDU. Verify that WPT SELECT page is displayed on each slave CDU.
(m)
On each slave CDU, use slew pushbuttons to place waypoint (number) between entry line markers.
(n)
Press EXP pushbutton on each slave CDU. Verify on each slave CDU that the transferred waypoint latitude and longitude coordinates are correct.
