c) F/O's HSI data source annunciator reads 2. 8) Repeat steps 2) thru 6) for the captain's HSI substituting CDU No. 3 for CDU No. 1.
9) Return captain's INS switch to CAPT 1 F/O 2 position. Verify that: a) INS switch annunciator illuminates CAPT 1 F/O 2.
10) Repeat steps 2) thru 6) for the first officer's HSI substituting the first officer's HSI for the captain's HSI and CDU No. 2 for CDU No. 1.
11) Place the Captain's INS switch to the CAPT 1 F/O 3 position. Verify that: a) INS switch annunciator illuminates CAPT 1 F/O 3. b) CAPT's HSI data source annunciator reads 1. c) F/O's HSI data source annunciator reads 3.
12) Repeat steps 2) thru 6) for the first officer's HSI, substituting the first officer's HSI for the captain's HSI and CDU No. 3 for CDU No. 1.
13) Return captain's INS switch to CAPT 1 F/O 2 position.
(h) If the INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
(6) Test RADIO/INS Transfer Relay.
(a)
If required prepare for test as described in par. D.
(b)
Test the captain's RADIO/INS transfer relay. 1) Set No. 1 MSU to ALIGN. 2) Verify that No. 1 INS CDU AUTO-MAN-RMT switch is in MAN. 3) Verify that No. 1 INS CDU FROM/TO display is 00 and set
the display selector to TEST.
4) Set captain's VOR-ILS/INS switch to VOR-ILS position. Verify that on captain's HSI: a) VOR-ILS/INS annunciator reads VOR-ILS. b) Drift angle bug reads 11.25 (| 1) degrees when read
on the drift angle scale relative to the lubber line. c) Drift angle bug is to the right of lubber line. d) MILES display goes blank. e) GND SPEED display indicates 512.
5) Return captain's VOR-ILS/INS switch to INS position.
(c)
Repeat step (b) to test thte first officer's RADIO/INS transfer relay, substituting the first officer's RADIO/INS relay for the captain's RADIO/INS relay, No. 2 MSU for No. 1 MSU, No. 2 CDU for No. 1 CDU, the first officer's VOR-ILS/INS switch for the captain's VOR-ILS/INS switch, and the first officer's HSI for the captain's HSI.
(d)
If the INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
(7) On airplanes with PMS, test Inertial Navigation System/INS Updating Annunciator Interface.
(a)
If required prepare for test as described in par. D.
(b)
Verify that No. 1 INS CDU AUTO-MAN-RMT switch is in MAN.
(c)
Set CDU No. 1 WPT switch to any position except 0.
(d)
Verify that present position coordinates are entered into INS No. 1 and that the No. 1 MSU mode selector is set to ALIGN.

(e)
Verify that the No. 1 INS CDU FROM/TO display is 00.
(f)
Place the No. 1 INS CDU display selector to TEST.
(g)
Verify that the No. 1 INS updating annunciator alternately changes black and green.
(h)
Repeat steps (a) thru (g) for the No. 2 INS updating annunciator substituting the No. 2 MSU for the No. 1 MSU and No. 2 CDU for No. 1 CDU.
(i)
If the INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
(8) Test Inertial Navigation System/ADI Interface
(a)
If required, prepare for test as described in paragraph D.
(b)
Set each INS mode selector switch on pilot's overhead panel P5 to STBY.
(c)
Set each INS control display unit data selector to DSR TK/STS and allow INS to align until status goes from 90 to 80.
NOTE: Allow 1 minute for the INS to align to status 80.

(d)
Verify that ATT/COMP STAB switch on the captain's main instrument panel is in CAPT 1 - F/O 2 position.
(e)
Press test button on either ADI. Verify that ADI displays 10 (| 3) degree pitchup and 20 (| 5) degree roll right indication and that ATT flag comes in view.
(f)
Release test button. Verify that ADI returns to 0-degree pitch and roll and that ATT flag disappears from view.
(g)
Repeat steps (e) and (f) for remaining ADI.
(h)
Set ATT/COMP STAB switch on the captain's main instrument panel to CAPT 3 - F/O 2 position. Verify that captain's ADI indicates 0-degree pitch and roll and that attitude flag is out of view.
