(1) Lamp, 28V (used in ALERT, BATT and WARN only) - GE No. 327
B. Remove Annunciator Caps and Lamps
(1)
Remove knobs and panel assembly.
(2)
Remove lens cap by pulling straight out.
NOTE: If lens cap is difficult to pull out, wrap a piece of
____ string around lens cap to obtain leverage.
(3)
Grasp annunciator cap firmly between thumb and index finger and pull out from CDU, working cap from side to side and up and down until cap comes free.
(4)
Pry lamp from associated lens cap with thin-bladed screwdriver.
C. Install Annunciator Caps and Lamps
(1)
Push lamp into cap.
(2)
Make sure that annunciator cap is right way up, then push firmly into CDU.
(3)
Make sure that annunciator caps are installed correctly as follows: ALERT annunciator (amber) in left position, BATT annunciator (amber) in center position, and WARN annunciator (red) in right hand position.
(4)
Install panel assembly and knobs.
7. Replace CDU Illuminated Panel (Fig. 303 and 304 [DELCO INS]) (ATLAS ALL

A. General
(1) Lamps providing illumination in this panel cannot be replaced on the flight line. The panel assembly must be replaced.
B. Equipment and Materials
(1)
Fiber screwdriver - tipped tool for prying
(2)
Glyptal - General Electric 7526
(3)
Torque screwdriver - 0 to 5 inch-pound range, small bit
(4)
Illuminated Panel Assembly - AC Electronics, P/N 7883574
C. Replace Illuminated Panel (Fig. 303).
(1)
Loosen two setscrews in AUTO-MAN/TEST switch knob and pull knob from shaft.
(2)
Loosen two setscrews in DIM control knob and pull knob from shaft.
(3)
Loosen two setscrews in data selector switch knob and pull knob from shaft.
(4)
Loosen three cross-recessed captive fasteners and disengage coaxial connector (underneath "+" on panel) by prying illuminated panel and front panel apart.
CAUTION: USE FIBER SCREWDRIVER-TIPPED TOOL TO AVOID DAMAGE TO

PANELS.
(5)
Install replacement illuminated panel by pressing firmly on the "+" to engage connector and by tightening three captive fasteners to a torque of 7.8 to 8.7 pound-inches.
(6)
Apply glyptal to setscrew threads in all three knobs.
(7)
Install data selector switch knob and torque both setscrews to 5.0 pound-inches.
(8)
Install DIM knob and torque both setscrews to 3.0 pound-inches.

(9) Install AUTO-MAN/TEST switch knob and torque both setscrews to 3.0 pound-inches.
NOTE: Allow sufficient clearance between knob and panel so press-
____ to-test function can be performed. (Approximately 3/16-inch clearance is required.)
8. Replace Numerical Displays (Fig. 301 [LITTON INS]) (IB 406-499)
