 NOTE:____ This false present position may be used anywhere in the world since the INS is not aligned during this portion of the INS system test.
 1) 2) 3)  Set No. 1 INS MSU mode selector switch to STBY.Set No. 1 INS CDU data selector to POS.Enter present position latitude of N50.00.0' using CDU No. 1 data keyboard by pressing N2 key, then most significant through least significant digit keys. Check that N shows on left numerical display, INSERT light comes on, and that as each key is pressed, corresponding digit is displayed as least significant digit, each preceding digit moving one place to the left.
 NOTE:____ If a keying error is made, press CDU CLEAR key and repeat step 3).
 4)  Press INSERT key and observe that INSERT key light remains illuminated.
 5)  Press W4 key and observe that 000.00.0W appears in right-hand data display.
 NOTE:____ If incorrect data is displayed, press CLEAR key and repeat step 5).
 (d) (e) (f)  6) Press INSERT key. Verify that INSERT light goes out. If INSERT light does not go out, repeat steps 1) through 6).Set No. 1 INS MSU mode selector switch to OFF position.Set No. 1 INS MSU mode selector switch to ALIGN position.Repeat steps (c) through (e) for No. 2 INS using No. 2 INS MSU and No. 2 INS CDU.
 (g)  Repeat steps (c) through (e) for No. 3 INS using No. 3 INS MSU and No. 3 INS CDU.
 (h)  Insert waypoint/destination data. 1) Press REMOTE key on each control/display unit. Check that REMOTE keys illuminate on all control/display units. 2) Set each data selector to WAY PT and each waypoint selector to 1.
 3)  On any one control/display unit, perform following:

Enter waypoint 1 latitude (N40.00.0') using control/display unit CDU data keyboard by pressing N2 key, then the most significant through least significant digit keys. Check that N shows on left numerical display, INSERT light comes on, and that as each key is pressed, the corresponding digit is displayed as the least significant digit, each preceding digit moving one place to the left.
 NOTE: If a keying error is made, press CDU CLEAR

Check that N shows on left numerical display, INSERT light comes on, and that as each key is pressed, the corresponding digit is displayed as the least significant digit, each preceding digit moving one place to the left.
 NOTE: If a keying error is made, press CDU CLEAR key
