D. Install the Quadrant

(1)
Install the Quadrant
(a)
Put the quadrant in its position in the bracket.
(b)
Install the bolt, washer, nut and the cotter pin.
(c)
Connect the input arm rod to the quadrant lever.
(d)
Install the cotter pin.
(e)
Connect the cables to the quadrant.
(f)
Install the bolt which connects the control package to the spoiler.
(g)
Tighten the bolt to 1200-1450 pound-inches(135.58-163.82Nm) above the run-on torque.

Adjust the Spoiler Wing Cables

Pressurize the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Adjust the wing spoiler cables (WS1A and WS1B or WS2A and WS2B) which are connected to the outboard flight spoiler input quadrant that you replaced.
(a)
Use the captain's control wheel to adjust the aileron system until you can install the rig pin A/S-4 (A/S-5 right) (Fig. 202).
(b)
Install the rig pin A/S-4 or A/S-5.
(c)
Install the outboard flight spoiler input quadrant rig pin. 1) Install rig pin A/S-18 on the No. 1 or 2 spoiler quadrant. 2) Install rig pin A/S-22 on the No. 3 or 4 spoiler quadrant. 3) Install rig pin A/S-23 on the No. 9 or 10 spoiler quadrant. 4) Install rig pin A/S-20 on the No. 11 or 12 spoiler
quadrant.
(d)
With the rig pins installed, tighten the cables at the turnbuckles to the tension loads shown in Fig. 202. 1) Make sure that the rig pins move freely.
(e)
Install the turnbuckle lock clips.

(f) Remove all of the rig pins.

Do a test of the quadrant installation.
(a)
Turn the captain's aileron control wheel its full travel and then back to neutral.
(b)
Make sure the outboard spoilers move to the up position and then move to the down position.
