Do a Test of the Speed Brake Lever In-Flight Stop System

 (1)  
Make sure the speed brake lever stop is not activated while on the ground:

 (a)  
Move the speed brake lever from the DN to the FLIGHT DETENT and then to the UP position. 1) Make sure the speed brake lever moves correctly.

 (b)  
Move the speed brake lever back to the DN position.

_______ PREPARE THE SAFETY SENSITIVE SYSTEMS FOR THE AIR MODE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE STEPS CORRECTLY CAN CAUSE THE AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE AIRPLANE SYSTEMS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Do this task: "Prepare Safety-Sensitive System for Air Mode Simulation" (AMM 32-09-02/201).

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:

 (a)  
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7F22, LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT PRI
 2) 7F23, LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT ALTN

 (4)  
Do this task to operate the landing gear switches S613 and S614: "Put Air/Ground Relay System in the Air Mode" (AMM 32-09-02/201).

 (5)  
Make sure the speed brake lever stop operates during the simulated air mode:

 (a)  
Move the speed brake lever from the DN position to the UP position.

 (b)  
Make sure the speed brake lever will not move aft of the FLIGHT DETENT position.

 (c)  
Make sure that the spoilers No. 1, 2, 11 and 12 are in the fully retracted position.

 (d)  
Open the following circuit breaker:

 1)  P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel a) 7G7, SPEED BRAKE LEVER LOCK

 (e)  
Make sure that you can move the speed brake lever aft of the FLIGHT DETENT position.

 (f)  
Close the following circuit breaker:

 1)  P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel a) 7G7, SPEED BRAKE LEVER LOCK

 (g)  
Move the speed brake lever to the DN position.

Do the Test of the Automatic Speed Brake Actuator in the Usual Landing Condition

 (7)  S 865-090Put the FLT CONTROL HYD PRESSURE - WING switches No. 1, 2, 3, 4 on the pilots' overhead panel, P5, to the SHUTOFF position.
 NOTE:____ The hydraulic system is pressurized to give logic inputs to the PSEU.
 (8)  S 735-091Make sure the speed brake lever moves from the ARM to the UP position in approximately 2 seconds after you remove the signal from the last landing gear switch: (a) Do this task to remove the signals from the landing gear switches: "Put Air/Ground Relay System Back in the Ground Mode" (AMM 32-09-02/201).
