(1)
Install the thermal relief valve:
(a)
Install the new O-rings (23 and 25) and backup rings (22 and 24) on the valve (21) and the valve cap (20). 1) Apply the hydraulic fluid to the O-rings, the backup rings
and the threads of the fittings.
(b)
Use a 5/16-18 bolt to install the valve. 1) Tighten the cap to 60-70 pound-inches (6.78-7.90 Nm).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P180, DC Power Distribution Panel
1) 180E6, LATERAL CONT VLV SYS 2
2) 180H23, LATERAL CONT VLV SYS 3

Put the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER - WING switches for systems No. 2 and No. 3 on the pilots' overhead panel, P5, to the NORM position.

Extend and retract the spoiler to bleed the hydraulic system.

INBOARD FLIGHT SPOILER QUADRANT - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. There are three tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the quadrant on the inboard flight spoilers No. 5 or 8. There is also a task to repair the quadrants.
B. The repair procedure includes the replacement of the shear rivets. The rivets are in the controlled shear joint of the lever and the crank, and the rig pin plate and the mounting bracket.
