Remove the broken parts of the rivets from the holes in the quadrant and the shaft.

Clean the surfaces of the parts.

Apply a thin layer of grease to the surfaces of the parts.

Install the new shear rivets.
NOTE: See the aluminum foil marker on the quadrant or Fig. 201

Examine the aluminum foil marker on the quadrant.
1) Replace the marker if it is damaged or not there.
(f)
Clean the inspection hole.
(g)
Fill the inspection hole with corrosion preventive (soft filmed) compound.
