Procedure

 (1)  
Do this task if you will install used hinge bolts or bushings: "Inboard Flight Spoiler Inspection" (AMM 27-61-01/601).

 S 424-013

 (2)  
Install the spoiler:

 (a)  
Apply a thin layer of grease to the control package mounting bolt, and the hinge bolts.

 (b)  
If it is necessary, install the seal plates (2) and the captive bearing (13).

 (c)  
Put the spoiler in its position.

 (d)  
Install the four hinge bolts (7, 16, and 22), washers (6, 15, and 17), and bushings (5 and 20).

 NOTE: Install the bolts with their heads outboard.

 1)  If it is necessary, install the antirotation washer (21) with a bolt (26), a spacer (25), a washer (24) and a nut (23).
 (e)  
Install a washer (19) and a nut (18) at hinges No. 2 and 3. 1) Tighten the nuts (18) to 2700-3300 pound-inches

 (305.1-372.8 Nm).
 2) Install the cotter pins.

 (f)  
Install the washers (6) and nuts (12) on the two hinges No. 1. 1) Tighten the nuts (12) to 100-200 pound-inches

 (11.3-22.6Nm). 2) Loosen the nut to align the nearest cotter pin hole. 3) Make sure the torque on the nut is not less than
 100 pound-inches (11.3Nm).
 4) Install the cotter pin.

 (g)  
Clean the mating surfaces for the bonding jumper.

 (h)  
Install the bonding jumpers at the outer hinges, with the bolts (8), washers (9 and 10), and nuts (11).

 NOTE: Install the bolts with their head on the inner side of
____
 the hinge bracket.

 (i)  
Use the milliohmmeter to make sure the resistance of the bonding jumper connection is less than 0.010 ohms.
