Open the applicable trailing edge panel and extend the flaps, or lift the spoilers to get access to the spoiler control package. 1) If you lifted the spoilers, install the spoiler actuator
locking tools or do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(c)
Adjust the input arm rods until spoilers No. 5 and 8 are up 20 |0.5 degrees (19.3 |0.5 inches (489.7+/-12.7mm) plus the actual clearance between the spoiler and the flap).
(d)
An optional procedure is to measure the distance the adjacent corners of spoilers No. 5 and 6 or 7 and 8 are not aligned. 1) Make sure the ground spoiler hydraulic valve is correctly
adjusted (AMM 27-62-00/201). 2) Make sure that the adjacent corners of the spoilers are aligned within 0.25 inch.(6.35mm)
(e)
Tighten the checknuts on the rod assemblies.

Adjust the input arm rod assemblies on spoilers No. 1 thru 4 and 9 thru 12:
(a)
Make sure the speed brake quadrant touches the quadrant stop (Fig. 505).
NOTE: The quadrant must touch the stop during the full

adjustment procedure.
Use the auto speed brakes to move the speed brakes down from the full up position. This will make sure the quadrant will touch the stop.
(b) Turn the aileron control wheel 30-degrees counterclockwise.
NOTE: Do not turn the control wheel through the 30-degree
____ position. If you go through the 30-degree position, turn the control wheel again from the 25-degree position.
(c)

Adjust the input arm on spoiler No. 2 until it is up 9.00 +0.00/-0.50 degrees (6.31 +0.00/-0.35 inches (160.27mm+0/-8.89mm) plus the actual clearance between the spoiler and the flap).
