WARNING: OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS TO PREVENT THE SPOILER RETRACTION.
_______ IF YOU USE THE SPEED BRAKE LEVER TO LIFT THE SPOILERS, AND IF YOU RELEASE PRESSURE IN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS, THE SPOILERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7G6, SPEED BRAKE AUTO CONT
(2)
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(3)
Do this task: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP
CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL
MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP
CONTROL LEVER.
(5) Retract the trailing edge flaps fully.
NOTE: You must fully retract the trailing edge flaps with hydraulic
____ power. Keep the flap control lever in the UP position for 1 minute before you measure the clearance.

Put the speed brake control lever in the DOWN position to lower all spoilers until the control package piston is fully retracted.

Turn the aileron control wheel clockwise to make sure spoilers No. 1 thru 4 are in the full down position.
