WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: RETRACT THE TE FLAPS HYDRAULICALLY TO THE FULL UP POSITION
_______ FOR THE RVDT TRANSMITTER REMOVAL AT THE FLAP POWER PACKAGE. DO NOT RETRACT THE TE FLAPS BY THE ELECTRICAL MODE. IF YOU USE THE ELECTRICAL MODE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FLAPS WHEN YOU OPERATE THEM IN THE HYDRAULIC MODE.
(1)
Do this task to retract the TE flaps to the full up position: "Trailing Edge Flap Retraction with Hydraulic Power" (AMM 27-51-00/201).
(2)
Do this task: "Trailing Edge Flap Deactivation" (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Get access to the applicable TE flap power package in the wheel well of the body gear.

Remove the electrical connector from the applicable transmitter:
(a)
DM7889, Inboard Power Package Transmitter
(b)
DM7892, Outboard Power Package Transmitter

Remove two bolts and washers that attach the RVDT transmitter to the flap power package.

Remove the RVDT transmitter from the flap power package.

Install the RVDT Transmitter

Make sure the primary indicator windows on the transmitter are in the zero (neutral rig) position.
(a)
Make sure the primary indicator dot shows in the primary indicator window.
(b)
Make sure the line on the primary or the fine adjustment indicator window is in the tolerance band (Fig. 401, views D and E or views H and I).
(2)
Do this task: "Trailing Edge Flap Activation" (AMM 27-51-00/201).
