G. Examine the Operation of the Spoilers

Make sure the captain's aileron control wheel is in the neutral position.

Do a test of the operation from the DN to the FLIGHT DETENT
position:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever from the DN position to the FLIGHT DETENT position.
(b)
Make sure that spoilers No. 3, 4, 9 and 10 are up 30.80 |0.98 inches (782.32+/-24.89mm) (45 |1.5 degrees).
(c)
Make sure that spoilers No. 5 6, 7 and 8 are up 18.70 |1.45 inches (474.98+/-36.83mm) (20 |1.5 degrees).

Do a test of the operation from the FLIGHT DETENT to the UP
position:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever from the FLIGHT DETENT position to the UP position.
(b)
Make sure that spoilers No. 1, 2, 11 and 12 move up 30.80 |0.98 inches (782.32+/-24.89mm) (45 |1.5 degrees).
(c)
Make sure that spoilers No. 5 thru 8 move up 41.78 |1.68 inches (1061.21+/-42.67mm) (45 |1.5 degrees).
