(1)
Make sure the landing gear ground locks are installed.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

(3) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system No. 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit detent to extend the flaps.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system No. 4: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Open the access panel (572FB, left wing; 672FB, right wing) below the spoiler control package on the lower surface of the wing.

Loosen the spoiler control cables WS2A and WS2B at turnbuckles in the wing gear wheel well (Fig. 201).

Remove the cables from the quadrant.
(9)
Remove the inboard flight spoiler quadrant:

CAUTION: YOU MUST NOT CHANGE THE LENGTH OF THE INPUT ARM ROD WHILE
_______ IT IS DISCONNECTED. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Disconnect the input arm rod from the quadrant lever.
(b)
Disconnect the ratio changer linkage from the mounting bracket and the actuator.
(c)
Remove the bolt and remove the quadrant from the mounting bracket.
