Procedure

(1)
Install the filter:
(a)
Install the new O-rings (22 and 24) and the backup rings (21 and 23) on the filter (20) and the filter cap (19). 1) Apply the hydraulic fluid to the O-rings, the backup rings
and the threads of the fittings.
(b)
Install the filter and the cap. 1) Tighten the cap to 60-70 pound-inches(6.78-7.91Nm). 2) Install the lockwire on the cap.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

IF YOU USE THE SPEED BRAKE LEVER TO LIFT THE SPOILERS, AND IF
YOU RELEASE THE PRESSURE IN SYSTEMS NO. 1 AND 4, THE SPOILERS
WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7G6, SPEED BRAKE AUTO CONT

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).
