WARNING:_______OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TO PREVENT THE SPOILER RETRACTION. IF YOU USE THE SPEED BRAKE LEVER TO LIFT THE SPOILERS, AND IF YOU RELEASE PRESSURE IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS NO. 1 AND 4, THE SPOILERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1)
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7G6, SPEED BRAKE AUTO CONT

(2)
Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and No. 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Put the speed brake lever in the UP position to lift the spoilers.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit detent to extend the trailing edge flaps.

Install the spoiler locking tool to keep the spoiler actuator in the extended position.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and No. 4: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Attach the safety device to the top surface of the wing, forward of the spoiler hinge line.

Remove the Spoiler

Attach the sling assembly, the load positioner, and a hoist to the spoiler (Fig. 401).

Balance the load positioner for 90 pounds.
