WARNING: MAKE SURE TO OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE CAPTAIN'S AND
_______ THE FIRST OFFICER'S SEATS BEFORE YOU DO WORK AROUND THEM. A FAILURE TO OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS CAN CAUSE THE SEATS TO MOVE ACCIDENTALLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left 1) 414D8 CAPT PWR SEAT
(b)
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415H32 F/O POWER SEAT

Remove the lightplate at the speed brake lever.

(3)
Remove the screws that attach the coverplate.
NOTE: It is not necessary to disconnect the electrical connector

from the coverplate.

Remove the left side panel from the control stand.

Remove the speed brake lever:
(a)
Remove the bolt, washer, and nut to disconnect the control rod from the speed brake lever.
(b)
Remove the cotter pin from the retainer.
(c)
Remove the bolt and washer that attach the retainer to the shaft.
