 3)  Tighten the nut to 200-300 pound-inches (23-34 N-m). Continue to tighten the nut to align the subsequent cotter pin hole.
 4)  Install the cotter pin.
 (d)  
Make sure the clearance between the seal retainer and the bottom surface of the wing is in the tolerance shown on Section B-B, Fig. 402.

 (e)  
Tighten the checknuts on the rods and install the lockwire.

 (7)  Adjust the doors on fairings No. 1 and 8: (a) Adjust the forward door link to its maximum length. (b) Install the forward door link (Section G-G, Fig. 401): 1) Install the bushings in the forward door link. 2) Put the forward door link on the adjustable rod and install the bolt, washers and nut. 3) Tighten the nut to 30-40 pound-inches (3-5 N-m). Continue to tighten the nut to align the subsequent cotter pin hole. 4) Install the cotter pin.

 (c)  
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.

 (d)  
Adjust the forward door link until you align the secondary door with the fairing, if it is necessary.


 NOTE: Do not turn the forward door link more than 1/2 turn.
____ The bulb seal on the forward edge of the door must touch the aftflap.
 Do not adjust the forward door link if there is not clearance between the seal and the aftflap.
 (e)  
Tighten the locknuts.

 (f)  
Install the lockwire on the locknuts.

Make sure the fairing moves smoothly.
