CAUTION:_______ RETRACT THE TE FLAPS HYDRAULICALLY TO THE FULL UP POSITION
FOR THE RVDT TRANSMITTER REMOVAL AT THE FLAP POWER PACKAGE. DO
NOT RETRACT THE TE FLAPS BY THE ELECTRICAL MODE. IF YOU USE
THE ELECTRICAL MODE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FLAPS WHEN YOU
OPERATE THEM IN THE HYDRAULIC MODE.

Do this task to retract the TE flaps to the full up position: "Trailing Edge Flap Retraction with Hydraulic Power" (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Install the transmitter to the power package.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LOCKING TABS OR THE SPLINED SHAFT DURING
_______ THE RVDT INSTALLATION. THE LOCKING TABS WILL NOT LET THE INPUT SHAFT TURN DURING THE INSTALLATION. DURING THE CLAMP-UP, THE LOCKING TABS WILL AUTOMATICALLY RELEASE THE INPUT SHAFT. IF YOU BEND OR DAMAGE THE LOCKING TABS YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RVDT AND YOU CAN CAUSE FLAP SYSTEM EICAS MESSAGES TO APPEAR.
(a)
Engage the transmitter gear with the drive gear.
(b)
Push the transmitter in completely.
NOTE: This will cause the locking tabs to release.

(c) If it is necessary, you can turn the transmitter |10° to align the mounting holes.

Install the two bolts and washers.
(a)
Tighten the bolts.
(b)
Install the lockwire on the bolts.

Make sure the transmitter is in the zero position.
(a)
If the line on the fine adjustment indicator window is not in the tolerance band, adjust the transmitter: 1) Loosen the adjustment set screws. 2) Turn the fine adjustment screw until the line appears
approximately in the center of the band. 3) Tighten the adjustment set screws. 4) Install the lockwire on the adjustment set screws.

(7) Install the electrical connector.
