Open these circuit breakers for the applicable ADF receiver:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7B9 NAV RADIO ADF L
2) 7B20 NAV RADIO ADF R
(2)
Loosen the rack door fasteners, and open the door.

(3) S 714-009Do the self-test on the ADF receiver. (a) Use the FMC to tune the ADF receiver to a local broadcast station's frequency. (b) Push and Release the TEST switch on the ADF receiver. (c) Make sure this sequence occurs on LCD of the ADF receiver: 1) The LCD screen displayes "Test in progress". 2) The LCD screen displayes "Test complete, No Failures".
(4) S 864-010Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

AUTOMATIC DIRECTION FINDER (ADF) ANTENNA - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. One is the removal of the ADF antenna; the other is the installation of the ADF antenna.
B. The left and right ADF antennas are installed on the centerline of airplane at stations 1300 and 1340, respectively.
