CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE FORCE WITH THE SEALANT REMOVAL TOOL TO
_______ BREAK THE ANTEANNA SEAL. TOO MUCH FORCE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE SKIN OR THE ELECTRICAL CABLE AT THE ANTENNA BOTTOM.
(2) Use the sealant removal tool to remove the seal around the antenna base.

CAUTION: MOVE THE ANTENNA ONLY AS FAR AS NECESSARY TO DISCONNECT THE
_______ CABLE. DAMAGE TO THE ANTENNA CABLE CAN OCCUR IF YOU PULL THE CABLE TOO FAR.

Move the antenna until you can get access to the antenna cable connector.

Disconnect the antenna cable.
NOTE: Do not let the antenna cable fall into the fuselage.

Put a protective cover on the cable connector.

Remove the ADF antenna and O-ring (AMM 20-11-19/401).

Remove the sealant from the airplane skin in the antenna area (AMM 51-31-01/201).

Clean the airplane surface in the antenna area with solvent and a clean rag. Remove any dirt, grease, corrosion, etc. (AMM 20-11-14/701).

Remove any teflon paint and primer from the area where the airplane skin and antenna will touch (AMM 20-11-14/701).
