(5) When IN PROGRESS goes out of view, look for PASS or FAIL> adjacent to <GPWC.
NOTE: The PASS indication shows that there were no internal or
____ external faults to the EGPWC found.
(a) If FAIL> shows: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to FAIL> to see the GROUND TEST MSG pages for the failure. 2) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find all the GROUND TEST MSG pages. 3) Make a list of all CMCS message numbers and ATA numbers that show on the GROUND TEST MSG pages.
4) Go to the CMCS Message Index of the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) to find the corrective action for each CMCS message.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

3. System Test - GPWS

A. General
(1)
The system test is a full test of the GPWS. The test includes the GPWS operational test, does a check of the system interfaces, and makes sure of correct operation of the different GPWS modes.
(2)
The system test uses GPS data. The airplane must be moved to a position where the GPS antennas have a clear view of the GPS satellites.
(3)
You will use the INPUT MONITORING function of the CMC to do a test of the GPWS and its interfaces.
(a)
An X represents a display character that you can ignore.
(b)
In the BIN (binary) format, you will see a string of 32 bits (characters) for each label. Each bit is assigned a sequential number to identify it, beginning with bit 32 and ending with bit 1.
