(2) You must know the part numbers of the FMCS software. For the FMC to be an approved installation, the correct software must be installed.

C. Procedure

(1) Do these steps to prepare for a software configuration check of the FMC:
(a)
Make sure the Captain's Nav Source Select Switch is in the FMC-L position.
(b)
Make sure the First Officier's Nav Source Select Switch is in the FMC-R position.
(c)
Show the IDENT page on the left and right CDUs. 1) Push the MENU key to show the MENU page. 2) Push the LSK adjacent to the <FMC prompt to show the IDENT
page.

(2) Make sure the part number for the operational program (OP PROGRAM) is correct.
NOTE: For the FMC to be an approved installation the correct

(3) Make sure the part number for the operational configuration (OPC) database is correct.
NOTE: If a non-valid OPC database is loaded, the FMC only shows the

(4) Make sure the part number for the navigational database (NAV DATA) is correct.
(a) If the part number is not correct, do this task: FMC Software Installation with a Data Loader (AMM 34-61-00/201).

(5) Make sure that today's date is in the data range directly below ACTIVE.
(a) If today's date is in the bottom date range, do these steps: 1) Push the LSK adjacent to the bottom date range to move the
date range to the CDU scratchpad. 2) Push the LSK adjacent to the top date range. 3) Make sure today's date is in the top date range.

(6) Make sure the performance factors are correct.

Show the PERF FACTORS page on the applicable CDU. 1) Push the INIT/REF key. 2) Push the LSK adjacent to the <INDEX prompt to show the
INIT/REF INDEX page. 3) Push the LSK adjacent to the MAINT> prompt to show the MAINTENANCE INDEX page. 4) Push the LSK adjacent to the <PERF FACTORS prompt to show the PERF FACTORS page.
(b)
Make sure the performance factors on the PERF FACTORS page are the same as those shown in Table 202. 1) If the performance factors are not correct, do this task:
