(a) Push and hold the captain's A/T disconnect switch and make sure the "AUTOTHROT DISC" indication shows on the EICAS display.
NOTE: The captain's A/T disconnect switch is on the left

(b) Release the captain's A/T disconnect switch and make sure the "AUTOTHROT DISC" indication does not show on the EICAS display.
