EFIS/EICAS Panel Control (Fig. 27)
(a)
If the CDU input signal from the EFIS control panel is invalid then a SELECT> prompt will be generated and displayed under the EFIS CP header and the EICAS CP header on the MENU page. If there is a valid signal being received, then no SELECT> prompt will be displayed therefore inhibiting CDU control of the EFIS/EICAS control panel.
(b)
The EFIS CONTROL page will be displayed subsequent to the selection of the LSK next to the SELECT> prompt under the EFIS CP header. This page enables the selection of barometeric setting, decision height selection, display range selection, EFIS mode selection (MAP, PLAN, APP, VOR), center mode and access to the EFIS OPTIONS page.

The EFIS OPTION page provides access to the display options and access to the EFIS CONTROL page.
(d)
The EICAS MODES page will be displayed subsequent to the selection of the LSK next to the SELECT> prompt below the EICAS CP header. This page provides display and selection of available EICAS modes, the option of erasing the last messages stored in the EICAS memory or displaying the last group of messages which were deleted from EICAS memory. It also provides access to the EICAS SYNOPTICS page.

The EICAS SYNOPTIC page contains the available EICAS synoptics display modes and the mode selected. It also provides access to the EICAS MODES page.

VHF NAV Radio Tuning
(a)
The CDU also provides a means of entering a navaid frequency for manual VHF NAV radio tuning. The NAV RADIO page can be accessed by pressing the NAV RAD mode key. This page allows for pilot entry of a VOR, ADF or ILS frequency for manual tuning. If no manually tuned station exist, the NAV RADIO page will display the frequency in which both VOR L and VOR R are tuned, as well as the ADFs and ILSs. The tuned DMEs will be in colocated with the VORs.
(b)
If the master FMC fails, selection of the NAV RAD mode key will result in the display of the ALTN NAV RAD page. This page allows for an alternate method of tuning VHF NAV radios. The L-CDU will tune the left VHF NAV radios and the right CDU will tune the right VHF NAV radios for navigaitonal purposes.
