 B.  This procedure is applicable for the left and right FMC. You can use the same diskette to download the BITE data from the left and right FMC.
 C.  The format for the file names for BITE data is as follows: TTTTTTXX.YYZ
 Where XX - day (from GMT clock) YY - hour (from GMT clock) Z - FMC position (R or L) TTTTTT - characters 2 through 7 of the tail number. ("BITEDL" is default if tail number from the EIU is not available)
 D.  After you get the BITE data, send the diskettes to Honeywell for
 Boeing/Honeywell investigation:

P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6L35 FMCS DATA BASE

 (b)  
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7C1 FMCS FMC L
 2) 7C23 FMCS FMC R

 (3)  
Set the captain's NAV SOURCE SELECT switch on the P1 captain's main instrument panel to the FMC L position.

Set the F/O's NAV SOURCE SELECT switch on the P3 F/O's main
 instrument panel to the FMC R position.

Do these steps for the applicable FMC to get to the BITE X REPORT page on the MCDU:

 NOTE: X is L when you do the download procedure of the BITE data
____ from the left FMC, or R when the BITE data is from the right FMC.
 (a)  
If on the MENU page, push the LSK (line select key) adjacent to the <FMC prompt.

 (b)  
Push the INIT REF mode key to show the <INDEX prompt.

 (c)  
Push the LSK adjacent to the <INDEX prompt to show the INIT/REF INDEX page.

 (d)  
Push the LSK adjacent to the MAINT> prompt to show the MAINTENANCE INDEX page.

 (e)  
Push the LSK adjacent to the BITE> prompt to show the BITE X REPORT page.

 NOTE: To do the download of the BITE data from the left FMC, set
