 E.  Flight Management Computer Servo Loop Ground Test
 S 745-264
 (1)  Push the LSK that is adjacent to the applicable prompt (<FMC-L SERVO LOOP or <FMC-R SERVO LOOP).
 (a)  Make sure each instruction on the interactive page is completed.
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
_______ THROTTLE LEVERS BEFORE YOU DO THE FMC GROUND TEST. THE THROTTLE LEVERS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU DO THE GROUND TEST. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (b)  Push the LSK that is adjacent to the <CONFIRM.
 NOTE: IN PROGRESS shows during the test.

 (c)  Make sure these conditions occur: 1) AUTOTHROT DISC comes into view on the main EICAS. 2) The throttle levers move to the aft stop position unless
 the throttle levers are at the aft stop position. 3) The throttle levers move together to the forward position.
 NOTE: The levers will move for approximately five seconds.

 (2)  When IN PROGRESS goes out of view, look for PASS or FAIL> adjacent to <FMC-L SERVO LOOP or <FMC-R SERVO LOOP.

 (a)  
Make sure that the AUTOTHROT DISC indication goes out of view.

 (b)  
If FAIL> shows: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to FAIL> to see the GROUND TEST MSG pages for the failure. 2) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find all the GROUND TEST MSG pages. 3) Make a list of all CMCS messages, CMCS message numbers, and ATA numbers that show on the GROUND TEST MSG pages.


 4)  Go to the CMCS Message Index of the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) to find the corrective action for each CMCS message.

 F. Put the Airplane in Its Usual Condition

Set the FMC master switch on the P2 pilot's center instrument panel to the L position.

 4.  System Test - Flight Management Computer System_______________________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  
The system test does a total check of the FMCS. Most of the test uses the CMC's functions to do a check of the FMCS.

 (2)  
The procedure permits the tests to be done as a full system test, or each test can be done when it is necessary.

 (3)  
The MEMORY READOUT page for the CDU will have this format: XXXX/XXXX/XXXX/XXXX
