Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Set the Ground Test Enable switch on the P461 panel to the ENABLE position.

Set the EIU SEL switch on the EICAS control panel to L, then to C, and then to R.
(a) Make sure the upper EICAS display does not show ATC LEFT or ATC RIGHT for each EIU source select switch position.
NOTE: Push the CANC switch on the EICAS Display Select

(4) Open these circuit breakers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel:
1) 7B10, NAV RADIO ATC L
2) 7B22, NAV RADIO ATC R

(5) Set the EIU SEL switch on the EICAS control panel to L, then to C and then to R.
(a) Make sure the upper EICAS display shows ATC LEFT or ATC RIGHT for each EIU SEL switch position.

F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

7. ATC System Mode S Address Test______________________________
A. General
(1)
The ATC system mode S address test makes sure that the ATC mode S transponders installed on the airplane have the correct mode S address code.
(2)
The identification code plug that is connected to the back of the ATC transponder supplies the 24 binary bits Mode S addresss code.
(3)
The Mode S address codes are the same for the left and right transponder.

(1) Ohmmeter or continuity checker
