FLIGHT MANAGEMENT COMPUTER BITE DATA DOWNLOAD - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
_____________________________________________________________________
1. General
_______
A. This procedure has one task. This task is to do the download of the BITE history data from the Flight Management Computer (FMC) to a Data Loader. The BITE history data is a record of recent FMC fault. The BITE history data can also give sufficient data to find the cause of the fault. You must do the download procedure to supplement flight crew reports or maintenance crew observations of unusual FMC operation. To fully support such an investigation, it is necessary to get the BITE data from the left and right FMC.
