 2) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find all the GROUND TEST MSG pages. 3) Make a list of all CMCS messages, CMCS message numbers, and ATA numbers that show on the GROUND TEST MSG pages. 4) Go to the CMCS Message Index of the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) to find the corrective action for each CMCS message.

 4. System Test - VOR Navigation System

 A. General
 (1)  
The system test uses a ramp test set to supply test signals, which test the condition of the VOR navigation system. This task makes sure the VOR navigation system operates correctly.

 (2)  
This task contains these three procedures:

 (a)  
Prepare for the System Test

 (b)  
System Test

 (c)  
EIU Interface Test.

 (1)  These conditions are necessary for this task:
 (a)  
Electrical Power on (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Integrated Display System (IDS), serviceable
 (AMM 31-61-00/501).


 (c)  
Flight Management Computer System (FMCS), serviceable (AMM 34-61-00/501).

 (d)  
Inertial Reference System (IRS), serviceable
 (AMM 34-21-00/501).


 (e)  
Flight Interphone System, serviceable (AMM 23-51-00/501).

 (f)  
Control Display Unit (CDU), installed (AMM 34-61-02/401).


 F.  Prepare for the System Test
 S 865-124
 (1)  Do the prepare for the system test:
 (a)  
Put the ramp test set approximately 75 feet (unobstructed) from the side of the airplane fin and set the output: 1) RF FREQ - approved test frequency 2) VOR BEARING - 000.00 degrees 3) MODULATION - 30 percent at 1020 Hz (Ident Tone) 4) TO/FROM - FROM.

 (b)  
Make sure the inertial reference system (IRS) is aligned in the NAV mode (Ref 34-21-00/201).

 (c)  
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:


 1)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel a) 7A9 NAV RADIO MKR VOR L b) 7B21 NAV RADIO VOR R, or
 NAV RADIO MKR VOR R
 (d)  
Set the mode select switch for the ND on the captain's EFIS control panel to the VOR position.

 (e)  
Set the mode select switch for the ND on the first officer's EFIS control panel to the VOR position.

 (f)  
Set the left ADF/VOR select switch on the captain's and the first officer's EFIS control panels to the VOR L position.

 (g)  
Set the right ADF/VOR select switch on the captain's and the first officer's EFIS control panels to the VOR R position.

 (h)  
Set the source select switch for the EIU on the captain's source select module to the AUTO position.

 (i)  
Set the source select switch for the EIU on the first officer's source select module to the AUTO position.
