 E. Prepare for the ATC System Test

Follow the instruction in the TIC operator's manual and do all necessary calibration.

Insert the antenna coupler over the lower ATC antenna.


 NOTE: Make sure the orientation of the antenna coupler setup is

Do the ATC system operational test.

Do the "Prepare Safety-Sensative Systems for Air Mode Simulation" task (AMM 32-09-02/201).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:


 (a)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel: 1) 7F22, LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT PRI 2) 7F23, LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT ALTN 3) AIRPLANES WITH THE "GND SAFETY RELAY" CIRCUIT BREAKER
 INSTALLED AT PANEL GRID LOCATION 7H08; 7H08, GND SAFETY RELAY

 (10) Push the STD switch on the captain's and first officer's EFIS control panel.
 NOTE: This is the same as setting the baro correct to 29.92 inches

 of mercury.

 (a)  Make sure the captain's PFD and first officer's PFD shows STD.
 F. ATC System Test

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE CODES 7500, 7600-7677 AND 7700-7777. THESE ARE CODES USED ONLY IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
 (1)  
On the ATC control panel, set the code switches to a desired ATC ID code.

 (2)  
On the ATC control panel, set the ATC system on standby.

Push the INTERROGATE switch on the test set.

 (a)  Make sure the test set shows "no reply from xpdr".

 (4)  Set the transponder select switch on the ATC control panel to the left or No. 1 system.
