(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7A9 NAV RADIO MKR VOR L
2) 7B21 NAV RADIO VOR R, or
NAV RADIO MKR VOR R

(2) Clean the mating surfaces of the antenna and airplane structure (Ref 20-11-14/701):
CAUTION:_______APPLY THE SOLVENT TO THE MATING SURFACES ONLY. MAKE SURE YOU RUB THE SOLVENT OFF THE OTHER SURFACES. IF THE SOLVENT STAYS ON A SURFACE FOR A LONG TIME, IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE FINISH.
(a)
Apply aliphatic naphtha TT-N-95 solvent, with a clean BMS 15-5 cloth, to the mating surfaces. Use light pressure (Ref 51-21-03/701).
(b)
Use a clean cloth and clean the surface again.
(c)
Do these two steps until the metal of the mating surfaces is bright, clean, and dry.

Install the VOR/LOC antenna:
(a)
Connect the coaxial connectors to the antenna.
(b)
Align the antenna to the screw holes that hold the antenna to the vertical stabilizer.
(c)
Install the screws that attach the antenna to the vertical stabilizer.

Measure the resistance between the inner metal of the antenna plate and the airplane structure (Ref 20-22-01/601). The resistance must be 0.01 ohm maximum.
