Remove the dust caps from the electrical connectors on the ATC control panel.

Connect electrical connectors DB37A and DB37B to the ATC control panel.
(4)
Install the control panel into the instrument panel.

Set the transponder select switch on the ATC control panel to the applicable system (L or 1, R or 2).
D. ATC Control Panel Test

Push and release the TEST switch on the front panel of the applicable transponder.
(a) Make sure the sequence that follows occurs: 1) All of the front panel LED indicators come on. 2) All of the front panel LED indicators go off. 3) The green XPDR PASS indicator comes on.
(2)
Make sure the panel lights on the ATC control panel are on.
(3)
Set the transponder select switch to the other position.
(4)
Do the ATC control panel test again.
(5)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL (ATC) TRANSPONDER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the ATC transponder. The second task is the installation of the ATC transponder.
B. The two ATC transponders are installed in the main equipment center. The left, B99, ATC transponder is installed on the E2 rack on shelf No. 3. The right, B100, ATC transponder is installed on the E2 rack on shelf No. 2.
