CONTROL DISPLAY UNIT - SERVICING

1. General_______
A. This subject has three tasks. The first task is to clean the inlet screen for the cooling air.
B. The second task is to clean the CDU display screen.
C. The third task is the replacement of the CDU annunciator lamp. This task has these parts:
(1)
The removal of the CDU key lamp
(2)
The installation of the CDU key lamp
(3)
A test of the CDU key lamp
D. The fourth task is the replacement of the EXEC key lamp. This task has these parts:
(1)
The removal of the CDU EXEC key assembly.
(2)
The installation of the CDU EXEC key assembly.
(3)
A test of the CDU EXEC key lamp.
E. The CDUs are installed in the flight compartment. Two CDUs are on the forward electronic panel (P9) and one CDU is on the aft electronic panel (P8).

(2)
Put the CDU on a stable surface.
(3)
Remove all the dirt from the inlet screen with a vacuum source.
