(1) Remove the surface grease and dirt from the CDU display screen with the glass cleaner and the cloth.

4. CDU Annunciator Lamp Replacement (Fig. 301)___________________________________________
A. General
(1) The CDU front panel contains four annunciators. Two of the annunciators, DSPY and FAIL, are on the left side of the CDU. Two of the annunciators, MSG and OFST, are on the right side of the CDU. Each annunciator is illuminated by two lamps that are installed on the circuit board assembly.

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

(2) Remove the annunciator lamp:
(a)
Loosen the two captive screws (4) that connect the left or right annunciator assembly (5).
(b)
Remove the annunciator assembly (5) to get to the two annunciator lamps (6).
(c)
Remove the defective lamp (6) from the terminals (7) on the circuit board (8).

(3) Install the annunciator lamp:
(a)
Install the annunciator lamp (6) on the terminals (7) on the circuit board (8).
(b)
Install the annunciator assembly (5) on the keyboard assembly (9).
(c)
Tighten the two captive screws (4).
