A. General
(1) The EXEC key/indicator is installed on the right side of the CDU. You must replace the EXEC key assembly to replace the indicator lamp.

(2) Remove the EXEC key assembly:
(a)
Loosen the two captive screws (4) on the EXEC key assembly (1).
(b)
Remove the EXEC key assembly from the keyboard assembly (9).
NOTE: Make sure that the rubber tube seal is not left on the CDU when you remove the assembly.

(3) Install the new EXEC key assembly:
(a)
Install the new EXEC key assembly (1) on the keyboard assembly (9).
(b)
Tighten the two screws (4).

Push and hold the IND LTS switch, on the P5 pilots overhead panel, to the TEST position.

Make sure the CDU EXEC key lamp comes on.
(c)
Release the IND LTS switch.
(d)
Make sure that the CDU EXEC key lamp goes off.
