 DME SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  The adjustment/test procedure contains two tasks. The first task is an operational test which makes sure of the basic operation of the two DME systems. The procedure will do a ground test for each system. The ground test uses these on-board displays and controls to operate the self-test and monitor the test results:
 (1)  
Central Maintenance Computer (CMC)

 (2)  
Integrated Display System (IDS)

 (3)  
Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System (EICAS)

 (4)  
Navigation Displays (NDs)

 (5)  
Control Display Unit (CDU).

 B.  The DME system test uses a ramp test set for a check of the DME systems.
