1. General_______
A. This subject has three tasks. The first task is an operational test of the VOR navigation system. The second task is a ground test of the VOR navigation system. The third task is a system test of the VOR navigation system.

2. Operational Test - VOR Navigation System________________________________________
A. General
(1)
The operational test does not use external test equipment and thus it can do a system check quickly. This task uses the local VOR station and the audio control panel (ACP) to do the operational test.
(2)
This task contains these three procedures:
(a)
Prepare for the Operational Test
(b)
Reception Test
(c)
Audio Test.

(1) Do the prepare for the operational test:
(a)
Make sure the inertial reference system (IRS) is aligned in the NAV mode (Ref 34-21-00/201).
