(4) Prepare to remove the FMC master relay:
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH EQUIPMENT OR WIRES UNTIL THE ESD WRIST STRAP
_______ IS ATTACHED. THE EQUIPMENT AND WIRES CONTAIN OR ARE ATTACHED TO STATIC SENSITIVE EQUIPMENT THAT CAN BE DAMAGED.
PUT THE ESD WRIST STRAPS ON YOUR WRIST AGAINST YOUR SKIN. THE GROUND CIRCUIT IS NOT ALWAYS COMPLETED IF MATERIAL IS BETWEEN THE STRAP AND YOUR SKIN.
(a) Attach the ESD wrist strap to your wrist.
NOTE: The ESD wrist straps are kept in bags at the two ends of
____ the E/E racks (Fig 401).
(b)
Attach the ESD wrist strap to the electronic ground receptacle on the E/E rack (Fig 401).
(c)
Remove the four bolts that attach the WIU panel to the shelf (Fig 401).
(d)
Pull the top of the WIU panel aft and down 90 degrees to get access to the FMC master relays (Fig 401).
NOTE: The FMC master relays are aft of the STAB TRIM RUDDER
____ RATIO MODULE and the YAW DAMPER MODULE LOWER.

(5) Remove the FMC master relay (Fig 401):
(a) Remove the three screws that hold the relay to the bracket and connector.
NOTE: The screws will be necessary when you install the relay.

(b)
Remove the relay.
(c)
Remove the ESD wrist strap from the electrostatic ground receptacle on the E/E rack.
(d)
Remove the ESD wrist strap from your wrist.
(e)
Put the ESD wrist strap to the empty bag at the end of the E/E rack.

Install the FMC master relay.

Install and tighten the three screws that hold the relay to the bracket and connector.
