___________________________________________________
1. General_______
A. Three tasks are given in this procedure. The first task is the Flight Management Computer (FMC) Ground Test, the second task is the FMC Servo Loop Ground Test and the third task is the System Test.
B. The FMCS has two Flight Management Computers (FMCs) and three Control Display Units (CDUs).
C. The CDUs are the communication links between the crew and the FMCS. An alpha-numeric keyboard is used to put in data and the Line-Select Keys (LSKs) move the data into the FMCS. The CDU has twelve LSKs. There are six LSK on each side of the CDU. These keys are identified as 1L thru 6L and 1R thru 6R. The 6L LSK refers to the sixth key down from the top left hand side of the CDU.
D. The initial entry of data through the CDU keyboard shows in the scratchpad field of the CDU's CRT. The scratchpad will also show alert and advisory messages. The LSKs are used to put the data into the applicable blocks.
