VOR/MKR RECEIVER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the VOR/MKR receiver. The second task is the installation of the VOR/MKR receiver.
B. The CMC has SHOP FAULTS menu items for the right and left VOR/MKR receivers. These VOR/MKR receivers do not give the shop faults data to the CMC.
NOTE: Do not try to get the SHOP FAULTS data from these receivers.

2. VOR/MKR Receiver Removal________________________
A. General
(1)
There are two VOR/MKR receivers in the E2 electronics equipment rack in the main equipment center. The right VOR/MKR receiver (B628) is on the No. 2 shelf. The left VOR/MKR receiver (B621) is on the No. 3 shelf.
(2)
The removal procedures are the same for each receiver.

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7A9 NAV RADIO MKR VOR L
2) 7B21 NAV RADIO VOR R, or
NAV RADIO MKR VOR R

CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE
_______ VOR/MKR RECEIVER. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DICHARGE FROM YOUR BODY CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VOR/MKR RECEIVER.
(2) Do this task to remove the applicable VOR/MKR receiver from the E2 electronics equipment rack: Rack-Mounted Electrical/Electronic Module Removal (Ref 20-11-22/401).
