(5) Attach the tie rod assembly to the airplane structure, with the moisture trap near the airplane structure.
NOTE: Make sure it is clear of the galley during the galley

installation.

(6) Put the galley in its position and examine the flange for the correct fit. The flange contour must be equivalent to the internal contour and be approximately 1/2 inch from the cabin lining panels.
NOTE: If you installed the same galley as you removed, it is not
____
necessary to change the flange.
If you installed a replacement galley, it can be necessary change the flange to get a satisfactory contour as follows:
(a)
Move the galley inboard.
(b)
Cut the galley flange if it is necessary.
(c)
Put the galley in its position.

(7) Install the (seat track) floor attachment fittings:
(a) Put the anchor fitting and the plungers in the floor tracks through the wells in the galley floor.
NOTE: Make sure the plunger is lifted sufficiently in the
____ fitting to be clear of tabs on the floor track.
(b)
Turn the plunger down with you hand until it bottoms-out in the track, then turn it back one turn from the bottom.
(c)
Tighten the jamnut on the plunger from 95 to 110 pound-inches.
(d)
Install the anchor flange and tighten it to 30 to 50
pound-inches.
NOTE: Make sure you can see a minimum of one external thread
____ on the anchor fitting after you tighten the flange.
(e)
Install the lockscrew in its hole in the anchor flange, to go in the floor track. Turn the lockscrew until it bottoms-out in the floor track and then turn it back one thread.
(f)
Fill the attachment well fully with grease.
(g)
Install the cover plate on the galley attachment well.

(8) Install the (hard-point) floor attachment fittings:
(a) Put the galley in its position on the tiedown fittings.

(b)
Lift the galley, approximately 1/4 inch, and bond the seals with BAC 5010 type adhesive.
(c)
Install the floor attachment tiedown fasteners and their covers.
(d)
Install the stabilizer fitting with the sealant between the floor and the bottom of the fitting.
(e)
Apply the sealant between the screws and fitting, and on the screw heads.
(f)
Install the kick strip and retainers.

(9) Connect the tie rod to the fitting on the top of the galley:
(a) Adjust the tie rod until you can install the bolt that holds the tie rods to the attachment fitting.
NOTE: Adjust the tie rod only at the end without a lockwasher
____ and lockwire. Make sure you can see threads through the inspection hole in the tie rod body.
(b)
Tighten the nut at the end that you adjusted to remove all the slack from the threads.
(c)
Install the bolt, washer and nut.

(10) Connect the ground jumper between the top of the galley and the airplane structure (D6-54446).
NOTE: Make sure the connections are clean to get a satisfactory

electrical bond.

Connect the electrical power connectors above the galley.

Do a Static Ground Resistance Test (AMM 20-40-11/201).
(13)
Install the galley seal on the seal retainer.

NOTE: Make sure the galley seal touches the galley smoothly.

Install the galley floor drain adapter and connect the drain hose.
(15)
Apply the sealant around the galley drain adapter.
