(1) Do a check of the escape slide floor bracket.
(a)
Make sure the floor bracket is tightly attached to the floor.
(b)
Make sure the floor bracket is not damaged.
(c)
Make sure the pawl moves freely and closes fully.

(1) Clean the escape slide floor bracket.
(a)
Lift the inboard part of the pawl.
(b)
Clean the area of the bracket below the pawl.
NOTE: Use a toothbrush or a pipe cleaner soaked in solvent,
