(1) Prepare for the test.
(a) Attach a pad to the skin panels below the door.
NOTE:____The pad prevents damage to the airplane. The tape keeps the pad out of the slide aspirator.
CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE THE PAD IS BELOW THE SLIDE. IF IT IS NOT BELOW THE SLIDE, THE GROUND CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SLIDE.
(b)
Put a pad on the ground where the slide will inflate.
(c)
Make sure the needle on the pressure gage is in the green band.
(d)
Remove the girt bar from the stowage hooks on the compartment cover of the escape slide.
(e)
Install the girt bar in the floor brackets.

(2) Do a test of the escape slide.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE AREA IS CLEAR OF PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT
_______ BEFORE YOU OPEN THE DOOR. THE ESCAPE SLIDE INFLATES QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Open the door to the fully open position.
(b)
Make sure the slide fully inflates in 0-10 seconds after the compartment latch assembly is released.
(c)
Make sure the integral lights come on.

(3) Put the airplane back in its usual condition.
(a)
Do the task to remove the escape slide after deployment (Ref. 25-61-35/201).
(b)
Do the task to install the escape slide assembly
(Ref. 25-61-35/201).

ESCAPE SLIDE FLOOR BRACKETS - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

A. There are two floor brackets for each escape slide.
B. The escape slide is armed when the girt bar is attached to the floor brackets.
C. The floor brackets connect the girt to the airplane to hold the escape slide after deployment.
D. This procedure has these tasks:
