(2) Panels have openings for instrument panels, lights and other devices.
B. Insulation is provided by fiberglass blankets, some of which are part of a drip pan assembly.
(1)
A typical blanket consists of batts cemented between trim fabric and backing fabric.
(2)
Cutouts, slits and edges (except lower edge) are bound with trim fabric strips, sewn and sealed with cement to exclude moisture and oil. The lower edge is left open for drainage.
C. Drip Pan (Fig. 3)
(1)
The drip pan is an assembly which is bolted to structure above the overhead instrument panel to insulate the area and assure drainage.
(2)
The unit consists of a molded plastic pan with insulation blankets attached.
(3)
Condensate collected on the outboard side of the drip pan drains thru tubing into the airplane drain system (Ref Chapter 51, Airframe Drainage).

2. Removal of the Captain and First Officer Seats (Figs. 201)______________________________________________
A. Access
(1) Location Zone
101 Control Cabin - Left
102 Control Cabin - Right
B. Remove the Captain's or the First Officer's Seat, with Bogie Units
S 032-002
(1)
Remove the two travel limit stops from the inboard forward and inboard aft track assemblies
S 022-003
(2)
Operate the control lever.
S 022-004
(3)
Move the seat forward until the bogie unit rollers are free from the track.
S 022-005
(4)
Release the control lever.
C. Remove the Captain's or the First Officer's Seat

(1)
Adjust the seat to the lowest position.

(2)
Remove the two seat attachment fasteners from each seat attachment fitting.
(3)
Remove the seat.
