C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) STANDBY
2) BACKGRD

Do this task: "Remove Panel" (AMM 22-11-34/401).

Remove the lower covers.
(a) Remove the four fasteners at the right lower cover, and identify them for the installation in the same locations.
NOTE: The four screws are not the same.

(b)
Remove the right lower cover and move the bracket and the wire.
(c)
Remove the left lower cover in an equivalent procedure.

(4)
Disconnect the electrical connectors, and attach tags to identify the wire.

(5)
Remove the instrument center panel for the engine.
(a)
Move the panel aft and down to the maximum limit.
(b)
Do not disconnect the wire on the panel.

(6)
Hold the lightshield and remove the eight lightshield fasteners.

(7)
Lift the rear edge of the lightshield to get access to the windshield antifogging duct.
(a) Disconnect the duct from the nozzle.
(8)
Lift the lightshield clear of the support structure.

(1) Install the lightshield with the rear edge of the lightshield lifted.
(a) Connect the windshield antifogging duct to the nozzle.

Lower the lightshield into its position and install the eight lightshield fasteners.

Connect the electrical connectors and remove the tags if attached.

Make sure that the lightshield height dimension is as shown in Section A-A.

Do a test of the lights that you disconnected.
