 3) Make sure there are no holes in the shroud or signs of wear. 4) If there is damage to the shroud, replace with a new shroud (AMM 25-51-01/401). 5) Make sure the moisture shroud at the nose-wheel well bukhead is installed correctly with the ten screws. 6) Make sure the aft edge of the moisture shroud is correctly installed to the forward drain channel with stud fasteners. 7) Make sure the moisture shroud is installed correctly at the right and left sides of the nose wheel well. 8) The surface tension of the shroud must be such that it does not contain areas where moisture can collect. 9) Make sure the moisture-shroud installation screws and clips are sealed correctly (AMM 51-31-00/201).

 CARGO COMPARTMENTS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

General (Fig. 1)

 A.  The lower deck has forward and aft cargo compartments. Each compartment has a pressure equalization valve and blowout panels.
 B.  Each compartment has an access door which provides access from the passenger compartment.
 C.  Anchorplates, tiedown tracks, and webbing are provided to secure the
 cargo from shifting (Fig. 2).Anchorplates

 A.  Anchorplates are on the sidewalls of both cargo compartments and on the aft compartment ceiling. The anchorplates hold outboard edges of webbing when webbing is in place.
Tiedown Tracks
______________
 A.  A pair of tiedown tracks run fore and aft for the full length of the each compartment. The upper surfaces of the tracks are nearly flush with the deck panels and are fastened to airplane body frames by lockbolts.
 B.  The upper surface of each track has groups of tiedown holes spaced along the compartment for attachment of tiedown fittings. In each group, the tiedown holes are located 1 inch apart and are connected by a slot.
 C.  ON SOME AIRPLANES; A stanchion fits into holes in the tiedown tracks. Webbing can be attached to loop fittings on the stanchion.
Webbing

 A.  ON SOME AIRPLANES; Sections of webbing can be suspended between the anchorplates and a stanchion or between two stanchions. Each compartment has a door net which reaches from the doorsill to the ceiling and is approximately the width of the door.
 B.  ON SOME AIRPLANES; A cargo net is installed forward and aft of the door across each cargo compartment. Each net is divided into two sections joined together with quick-release fasteners. A vertical center net is installed between the two cross-compartment nets.
 C.  One-inch wide fabric straps are sewed together to form the webbing. Solid cloth panels are sewed to the straps in some areas to fill the openings between the straps. Quick-release tiedown fasteners are sewed to the strap ends in some places on the outboard edges of the nets. Other strap ends have snap latches or buckles.
 D.  The webbing is attached to the anchorplates on the sidewalls and to loop fittings on the ceilings.
