Move the hinge half on the panel to engage with the hinge half on the stowage bin. 1) Move the panel to the outboard position.

Release the lever.

Connect the lanyard.

Lift and move the panel inboard until the edge engages with the air outlet extrusion.
NOTE: The hinges are locked in the inboard position.

Remove the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Remove the passenger seats if it is necessary for access.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WITH THE PANELS. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES OF THE PANEL IF YOU HIT THEM OR GET THEM DIRTY.
(1) Remove the trim strips
(a)
Remove the trim strip down on each side of the panel until it is clear from the panel.
(b)
Remove the carpet risers from below the panel.

Hold the sidewall panel and remove the screws at the shockmounts.

Move the panel down until the top edge of the panel disengages from the air outlet extrusion.
(4)
Remove the electrical connector from the sidewall light.
(5)
Remove the panel.
