Adjust panel to the required width.

Lower the adjacent panel but do not remove it from the air outlet extrusion.
(3)
Locate the index springs into the holes of the air outlet extrusion.

Make sure that the spring clip grasps the wall of the adjacent panel by lowering the inboard edge of the spacer panel and/or raising the inboard edge of the adjacent panel.

Push the inboard edge of both the spacer panel and the adjacent panel outboard and upward together until the cam latches engage the bin rail.

Push the panel base forward or aft as required to close the remaining gaps between panels.

Apply upward pressure to the panel base under the cam latches to fully engage the latches.
NOTE: The latches will generally make a "click" sound upon full

(1) Unlatch the cam latches of the spacer panel by pushing latch extension and then pull the inboard side of the spacer panel down slightly below bin rail to provide access to the termination panel.
NOTE: A termination panel is one which is against a stowage bin

Loosen the wing nut 3 to 4 turns on the inboard side of the termination panel.

Do these steps at the same time to release the inboard spring clip from the termination panel wall:
(a) Apply a downward force to the inboard top corner of the termination panel from above.

(1) S 422-068Adjust panel to the required width.
(2) S 422-069Loosen the wing nut 3 to 4 turns on the inboard side of the termination panel.
(3) S 422-070Raise the spring end of the spacer panel up to the air outlet extrusion and clip the outboard spring clip over the termination panel wall and at the same time locate index springs into the air outlet extrusion holes.
