Loosen all the adjusting nuts on the bogie unit roller.

Move the seat inboard until the attached side of the bogie unit roller touches the outboard side of the floor track.
(a) Keep the seat in this position while you adjust the inboard bogie units.

Adjust the inboard bogie unit on the aft side to engage the lockpin to the hole on the floor track.

(4)
Tighten the adjusting nut until the bogie unit roller lightly touches the track.

(5)
Adjust the inboard bogie unit on the forward side in an equivalent procedure.
NOTE: Improved access to the adjusting nuts of the outboard fore
____ and aft bogie units can be obtained with the seat in the parked or most rearward position on the tracks.

Adjust the two outboard bogie units in an equivalent procedure.

Do an operation check for the bogie unit
NOTE: You must do an operation check with a minimum weight of 170

pounds in the seat.
(a)
Operate the control lever and move the seat forward and aft through the full range of the travel.
(b)
Make sure the seat moves freely.

(8) Make sure the lockpin engages:
(a)
Start with the seat in the forward locked position.
(b)
Operate the control lever to move the seat aft to the subsequent locked position.

Make sure the seat locks smoothly and correctly.
(d)
Make sure the lockpin comes out through the hole in the track at each position.
D. Install the Captain's or the First Officer's Seat

Put the seat into its position with the seat base lug in the attachment fitting recess.

Install the two attachment fasteners in each seat attachment fitting.

If the installed seat does not move freely or is hard to operate, do these steps:
(a)
Loosen the floor attachment fasteners.
(b)
Tighten the fasteners in a different diagonal shape while you move the seat in the forward and aft directions.
(4)
Make sure that the seat operates in all directions.
